Quad Build

Describe an app, then build and ship it with AI

Original 2001-style illustration / Quad Build

A full-stack AI application builder that plans, writes, previews, repairs, and ships multi-file products with live sandboxes, generated backends, visual editing, and durable checkpoints.

overview

Quad Build turns a plain-language product idea into a running full-stack application. It combines a planning-first coding agent, durable project state, disposable sandboxes, live previews, generated backends, and several paths from prototype to deployment.

problem

Most AI builders optimize for the first screenshot. Real product work continues after generation: code must survive refreshes, errors need observable repair, backends require isolation, model costs need boundaries, and users need a trustworthy route to GitHub or production.

approach

I built the product as a TypeScript monorepo with Convex as the durable source of truth and Vercel Sandbox as the disposable runtime. The agent plans before editing, streams reasoning and tool activity, reads preview failures after writes, and can restore blob-backed checkpoints. WorkOS, Polar, GitHub, Vercel, and generated Supabase backends complete the product loop.

outcome

Quad Build can generate and iterate on multi-file applications, provision a backend when needed, expose a shareable live preview, meter model usage, and export the result through GitHub, Vercel, or ZIP without making the sandbox itself the system of record.

  • Planning-first multi-model coding agent with streamed tools and reasoning
  • Live Vercel Sandbox previews with automatic error inspection and repair
  • Generated full-stack applications with isolated backend provisioning
  • Checkpoints, visual edits, sharing, GitHub push, deployment, and export
